Post holiday panic

Aaaah back from holiday and getting behind with 23 Things. I went to Emma's Twitter course in the UL a few weeks back and signed up then, but am still unclear of its value. I grasped the How but not the Why. Perhaps there's a Damascene Road moment to come.

Now tagging looks a bit more interesting. My choice of books in the Ann Arbor library admittedly brought up records without tags, so I went the other way and chose some tags. I've always been a little dubious about the amount of time and effort librarians put into classification and subject heading: but if you have physical things on an open access shelf it is v.useful to have some sort of like standing with like. None of that to worry about on the web. Bless you, Mr Google.

Doooodle a dairy

"I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train."

Not Algernon but Oscar.

Anyway the Google Calendar looks very useful, and its already sent me a reminder to post a blog before the end of the week. I first used Doodle to co-ordinate a meeting last year sometime so I'm already persuaded of its value.

An unmissable page

How about this for the most exciting Igoogle page you could hope to set eyes upon ? Starting with something basic and working up

One toe into the water

Up to and including Thing 3 I've been reassured to find I've known more than I had expected, though of course there are another 20 Things to go. I'm certainly expecting to learn a lot - I'm sure there's a lot out there I ought to know about but don't as yet.

So at the moment the water is not quite as cold as it looks, nor too deep. (Rather like this blogger perhaps ?)
